Baby Hire Delivery and Pick Up Service

Q. We are arriving into Melbourne Airport – will you deliver to the airport?

A. Just take the Kids can deliver and pick up from your hire car at the airport.  There is a delivery fee of $30 which is inclusive of drop off and pick up.  When booking your hire car can the car be booked for 30 minutes prior to your arrival so we can have your items in your car ready for your arrival.  Please advise the car company, booking reference and name of booking in your online booking. Please provide your flight arrival and departure information in your booking form.  When returning back to the airport we will meet you at the hire car to collect the items directly from you.  Delivery/collection service to the Airport is only between the hours of 9.00am and 4:30pm (Monday to Friday).  No delivery service on Saturday and Sunday.

Q. We are arriving into Melbourne Airport and will have a hire car – can we pick up from Just take the Kids?

A. Just take the Kids is conveniently located 5 minutes from the Melbourne Airport in Tullamarine.  Pick up service is free.  Pick up is by appointment 6 days a week.  Please provide pick up details in your booking form.  Our operating hours  are 8:45am to 6:30pm (Monday to Friday) and 9am to 12 noon (Saturday).  Pick up and returns outside these hours will need to be made during our operating hours.

Q. While in Melbourne we are staying with family and friends are they able to collect our items for us before we arrive?

A. Collection can be made by appointment from Tullamarine or South Kingsville (inner west – 8km from the CBD – next to Spotswood).  Given our location family and friends can collect your equipment on the way to the airport. Pick up service is free. Please provide pick up details in your booking form.

Q. We are arriving into Avalon Airport will you drop off to the airport?

A. Unfortunately Just take the Kids is not currently delivering to Avalon Airport.  We do however offer a pick up service from South Kingsville (inner west – 8km from the CBD) which is on the way into the CBD.  Pick up by appointment.  Please provide pick up details in your booking form.

Q. Do Just take the Kids drop off to other locations?
A. Just take the Kids will deliver to other locations (Fees apply).  Delivery fee to CBD, Docklands and Southbank is $30 (inclusive of delivery and pick up).  For all other locations please contact us for a quote.  Please provide drop off details in your booking form.  Delivery/collection is between the hours of 9:30am to 2:30pm (Monday to Friday).  If your accommodation has a reception desk items can be delivered and collected from reception.  Our delivery service is within 15km of our locations.
Q. We need a car seat for this afternoon can you provide this for us?

A. If you have an urgent order please contact us on 0467 675 437 and we will do our best to meet your requests.

Q. We live in Melbourne and would like to hire a infant carrier for 6 months.  Can you help us?

A. Just take the Kids hire infant carriers for 3 months or 6 months.  You can come to our location or we can deliver the item to you (fees apply).  Installation is included in the hire price.

Q. Do Just take the Kids sell car seats?
A. Just take the Kids offer the service of purchasing your next car seat on the return of your long term infant carrier hire.  We have a large range of seats for purchase.  When purchasing a seat installation is included in the purchase price as well as support with ongoing adjustments.  Please contact us if you wish to find our more.

Baby Hire Equipment

Q. Does Just take the Kids hold liability insurance?

A. Just take the Kids hold public liability insurance for the hire of baby equipment and the installation of child car restraints.

Q. How new is the equipment?

A. At Just take the Kids we purchase our equipment brand new from reputable Australian suppliers and equipment which meets Australian Standards.  Equipment is regularly checked to ensure equipment is maintained in excellent condition.

Q. Is the equipment clean?
A.  Each piece of equipment is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after every hire. Along with safety, clean equipment is our number 1 priority.
Q. We live in Melbourne and heading interstate/overseas on a holiday.  Are we able to hire from you?
A.  We do not allow our hired items to be taken interstate or overseas due to the risk of items being damaged during transit.

Car Restraints

Q. Will Just take the Kids install the car seat/baby capsule for us?

A. Just take the Kids offer complimentary fittings for hired child car restraints.  Just take the Kids installers have completed an accredited course and are certified installers. Unfortunately if your car does not have an anchor point we will refer you to a qualified mechanic. Just take the Kids reserve the right to refuse installation for any reason. We provide extension straps and gated buckles which must be returned with the car restraint at the end of the hire period.

You also have the choice to fit the car seat yourself as per the guidelines in the instruction book supplied with the seat.

Q. What are the current laws regarding child restraints?

A. Current laws are as follows:

· Children aged under 6 months must use an approved, properly fastened and adjusted rearward facing restraint.

· Children aged between 6 months and under 4 years must use an approved, properly fastened and adjusted rearward facing child restraint OR a forward facing restraint.

· Children aged between 4 years and under 7 years must use an approved, properly fastened and adjusted forward facing restraint OR an approved booster seat which is properly positioned and fastened

It is the driver\’s responsibility to ensure that passengers are properly restrained in a seat belt or approved child restraint.

Approved restraints carry the Australian Standards AS/NZ1754 sticker. All restraints used by Just take the Kids meet Australian Standards.

Q. If I hire a car seat, how do I know it hasn’t been in a car crash?

A. All of Just take the Kids car seats, booster seats and infant carriers have a full hire history. On return of equipment customers are required to sign a statement declaring that it hasn’t been involved in a crash. Just take the Kids also carries out safety checks each time a car restraint is returned and carry out regular servicing.

Products On Hire

 Q. We have damaged a piece of equipment.  What happens?

A. If any equipment gets damaged Just take the Kids will charge you the replacement cost of the item or the cost to repair the item, if this is possible.

Q. A piece of equipment has been stolen.  What happens?

A. If the product is stolen you will need to supply us with a written police report. If the product was not adequately secured in a locked vehicle or home, we will charge you the replacement cost of a new item.

Q. We have been involved in a car accident.  What happens?

A. If you are involved in any type of car accident, firstly we hope your family is safe. Secondly you need to inform us of what has happened. We will replace your car child restraint with another if required. The restraint will be destroyed. You will also need to complete a declaration stating that the restraint has been involved in an accident.

Q. I would like to hire a portacot – Does it come with linen?
A. A pack with a padded quilted fitted sheet, fitted sheet, sheet and blanket is available for hire. Please see sleep time products.

Q. Is the equipment displayed on the website the actual equipment you hire?

A. All equipment displayed on the Just take the Kids website is the actual equipment for hire.

Q. What happens if I return the equipment uncleaned?

A. We would politely ask that you do clean the equipment before returning it to us.

Should any item be returned uncleaned and require an excessive amount of cleaning, we reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee.

Bookings

Q. How do I make an order and how does the payment work?

A. Orders can be made by completing the online booking form.  Just take the Kids will confirm your booking within 24 hours. Alternatively you can call us on 0467 675 437 (0467 67KIDS). Once you have placed your order, you will receive a confirmation and invoice.  Payments can be made by direct deposit,  credit card or cash.

Q. Do you require a bond?

A. A bond will be added to your invoice under “Bond”. A bond will be secured by unprocessed credit card details and only charged to the nominated credit card if goods are not returned as per the terms and conditions.  Alternatively a cash bond can also be made.

Q.  Is there a minimum number of days to hire equipment?

A.  To cater to all requirements we offer rates for periods of days.  Periods include 1 to 4 days, 5 to 6 days, 7 to 10 days and 11 to 14 days.  Rates displayed are for the period of hire not a daily rate.  For example if hiring the Steelcraft Stroller for 4 days the cost would be $20.  Rates outside these times can be advised at confirmation or on request via email or phone.

Q. We are having a great time in Melbourne and wish to stay longer.  Can I extend my hire?

A. Yes you can extend your hire period if the equipment has not been reserved by another customer. Payment for extensions can be made by credit card. Please contact Just take the Kids to make arrangements. Unfortunately, if a product is returned early, there is no refund.

Q. I would like to change our order.  Can I do this?

A. Your order can be changed if the equipment is available. Please contact us on 0467 675 437 (046767KIDS).

Q. What is Just take the Kids refund policy?
A. Should you provide us with 72 hours notice from your hire commencement date, we will provide you a refund via the same method you have paid us. Should you require a refund please contact us on 0467 675 437 (0467 67KIDS) or via email.  A refund of 25% of hire fees will be given if you cancel your order giving less than 72 hours notice. Any delivery charges (if applicable) will be refunded.  There are no refunds if products are returned early.
